DISCOVER THE PROGRAMME FOR THE FETE PATRONALE (VILLAGE CELEBRATION) OF LA CROISILLE-SUR-BRIANCE
The 2023 event will take place on Saturday 12 and Sunday 13 August at the village sports ground (stade) in La Croisille. Marie-Laure BOUTHIER, councillor responsible for the Fete Patronale, is unveiling the programme: concerts, fair rides, boules and fishing competitions, traditional games, meals, fireworks…
Fairground fun
You can now block out the second weekend in August so that you can come and join the fun at the biggest patronal celebration of the year in La Croisille and the surrounding area. Come and enjoy all the fun of the fair! The rides and attractions will be there all weekend, as every year, for the enjoyment of young and old alike – from bumper cars to the surf ride, as well as the shooting stalls and the children’s rides, plus many more stands, all accompanied by fairground sounds and the aroma of candy floss.
Come along and enjoy the concerts
Two shows by female groups, who have previously been to La Croisille, and are coming back by popular demand. Firstly, on Saturday evening, the TOXIC FROGS, this Celtic rock group which sets the place on fire wherever they go. Then, on Sunday evening, LAS GABACHAS DE LA CUMBIA – seven women on stage for the music and and a ‘gabacho’, the dancer of death, « muerte », to the sound of cumbia, mambo, cha cha, or tango… a Latino evening awaits you.
Participate in the pétanque and fishing competitions
A short distance from the sports ground, at the lake in Nouailhas, the pétanque competition awaits you on Saturday afternoon – and, on Sunday afternoon it is over to the fishermen and women for the big fishing competition of the AAPPMA of St. Germain/La Croisille.
Enjoy some traditional games
The games library of the ‘Cité des jeux’ in Limoges will be present on Sunday afternoon with a vast area of games, for both young and old, a dedicated space for families to enjoy themselves together.
Dining together ‘al fresco’
A convivial atmosphere, with Sangria and home-made paella on Saturday evening, and on Sunday evening it will be grilled meats (sausages, merguez, pork, andouillettes etc.), cooked over a wood fire, with chips and dessert available.
Admire the fireworks
To bring the celebrations to a close on Sunday evening, the council is putting on a grand firework show – one of the best in the area for a long time, with this year’s musical theme being “sounds from the big movies”. Don’t miss it!
