ARE YOU READY TO TAKE PART IN THE GREAT CHRISTMAS MARKET, SATURDAY 4 DECEMBER, AT LA CROISILLE SUR BRIANCE?
Ho, ho, ho! The autumn leaves are already covering the commune, yet a festive spirit is arriving in La Croisille sur Briance, long live the festivities!
Indeed, the rumours have been confirmed. After a long year of hibernation, the Christmas market is back this year, more festive than ever.
It’s long awaited! Expect the scents of mulled wine or of chestnuts roasting in the rue du champ de foire, for after a successful first edition last year, the market of Christmas 2021, is making an even more magical return.
Organised by the municipality with the deputies, Isabelle Bourliataud and Marie-Laure Bouthier, and the association Coeur de Briance, and with logistics support from the municipal technicians, the Christmas market is returning. It will take place on Saturday 4 December, from 10am to 6pm, bigger and better. As in the past, the commune will be immersed in the wonder of Christmas.
This market will be an almost exclusive outlet for the exhibitors, for regional products, for local artisans, of whatever field. Gastronomy, arts and crafts, painting, decorations, jewellery, accessories, hosiery, dolls, home and tableware, flowers and Christmas trees… With Christmas well on its way, there won’t be a shortage of gift ideas.
Expect to wander through the various stands, tasting a crepe or a gaufre, accompanied with mulled wine, in between doing your shopping – or even take a selfie with Father Christmas… or with Miss Limousin 2021 and her two runners-up…! You can also have books signed by Limousin authors. With all this choice, visitors have all sorts of opportunities at hand. The Mairie and Coeur de Briance are proposing a children’s show at 3.30pm, followed by a snack, as well as a Christmas drawing competition, with prizes.
The Telethon will also be present, with a stand dedicated to this important event.
At 6pm, following a countdown – 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 – Miss Limousin will switch on the Christmas lights in the village square and the Christmas magic will shine again.
