LE MOT DU MAIRE
Mes chers amis,
Depuis plusieurs semaines, notre commune, comme le reste du pays, traverse une crise sans précédent. Pour faire face à cette situation inédite, la mairie de La Croisille-sur-Briance est pleinement mobilisée depuis le début de l’épidémie afin de répondre à vos attentes et à vos besoins. L’une des opérations la plus emblématique est celle que mènent vos élus, soit tous les jours soit hebdomadairement avec l’attention portée aux plus anciens, aux plus fragiles et aux plus démunis d’entre nous.
Je n’oublie pas également l’ensemble de la chaîne du personnel soignant de notre commune qui travaille remarquablement en équipe pour votre santé, et j’ai aussi une pensée particulière pour tous ceux qui œuvrent à sauver des vies et à assurer notre sécurité au niveau du département, et bien entendu un grand merci à nos aides à domicile.
Et quelle chance d’avoir des commerçants locaux qui poursuivent leurs activités et nous permettent d’assurer notre alimentation pendant le confinement. Ainsi que nos artisants et nos agriculteurs qui font vivre notre pays.
Enfin, un grand bravo à la dernière-née des initiatives solidaires, celle du « club des 6 couturières » qui font preuve d’une grande solidarité et passe un temps incroyable derrière leur machine à coudre à fabriquer des masques en tissu d’abord pour nos enfants et maintenant les adultes. Qu’elles en soient chaleureusement remerciées.
J’en profite pour vous informer du retour au travail début mai de nos agents municipaux qui après leur période de confinement vont assurer quotidiennement, dans un contexte très particulier, la continuité des services publics en rattrapant le retard pris et vont assurer la reprise de l’école communale tout en respectant les consignes sanitaires mises en place .
Dans les jours et semaines qui viennent, nous allons préparer avec tous les acteurs concernés la période qui va suivre, celle du déconfinement progressif. Nous attendons des précisions de la part du gouvernement. D’ores et déjà, nous avons commandé avec votre pharmacie, 1000 masques de protection en tissu adultes à destination des habitants en plus des 700 commandés pour La Croisille avec la communauté de communes.
Nous pensons pouvoir distribuer gracieusement à chacun d’entre vous un masque tissus réutilisable catégorie 1 avec 25 ou 30 lavages garantis avant le 11 mai.
Sur ces questions du déconfinement, comme beaucoup d’entre vous, j’ai des inquiétudes. Mais c’est aussi dû, à mon sens, à la façon dont cette séquence a été annoncée. Et à toutes ces questions, il faudra des réponses précises pour rassurer.
Sachez que l’équipe municipale est mobilisée et se tient à vos côtés dans cette épreuve. Unis et solidaires, nous en sortirons plus vite et plus forts.

A l’occasion de la fermeture de la boulangerie pour le changement du four, c’est Hélène au magasin Proxi qui assurera la vente du pain du 11 mai au 18 mai, comme elle le fait déjà tous les lundis.

NEWS FROM THE MAIRIE AND THE AGENDA OF WEEK 19 (in French and English)
THE MESSAGE FROM THE MAYOR
Dear friends,
For several weeks, our commune, like the rest of the country, has been enduring an unprecedented crisis. To cope with this situation, the mairie of La Croisille sur Briance has swung into action since the beginning of the epidemic in order to respond to your needs and expectations. One of the most symbolic of these actions is carried out by your councillors, either daily or weekly, by attending to the most senior and/or vulnerable of you.
I am also not forgetting all those in the chain of healthcare workers in our commune, who work together as a remarkable team to ensure your health, and I think particularly of those who work to save lives and assure our safety and security in our ‘département’ – and of course a big thank you to our home helps.
Also, what good fortune to have local businesses that continue running so that we can still buy food during the confinement.
Finally, a big cheer to the latest of these community initiatives, those of the ‘Club of the 6 Seamstresses’ who are proof of our solidarity and who spend an incredible time at their sewing machines in order to make fabric masks for our children and now for adults. How warmly we thank them.
I am also taking this opportunity to inform you of the return to work, at the beginning of May, of our commune workers who, after their period of confinement, are going to be working daily to ensure, in unusual circumstances, the continuation of the public services – catching up on delays and ensuring a return to school that respects all the health regulations in place.
In the coming days and weeks, along with all those concerned, we will be preparing for the period to follow, that of gradual deconfinement. We are waiting for some clarification from the government. Already we, with our pharmacy, have ordered 1,000 protective fabric masks for adults, intended for our inhabitants, along with more than 700 ordered with the Communauté de Communes for La Croisille.
Before the 11 May, we think we will be able to distribute to each one of you, free of charge, a reusable fabric mask, category 1, guaranteed for 25-30 washes.
On the question of deconfinement, like many of you, I have some concerns. But it is also due, in my opinion, to the way in which this has been announced. And to all our questions, there will need to be precise answers in order to provide reassurance.
Rest assured that the commune team is ready and with you through this time. United together, we will come through this quicker and stronger.

SALE OF BREAD AT HELENE’S SHOP FROM 11 TO 18 MAY
During the closure of the bakery (to change the oven), it is Hélène, at the Proxi shop, who will be selling bread from 11 to 18 May, as she already does every Monday
OPENING OF THE POST OFFICE
From Monday 11 May, the village post office will be open again every morning from Monday to Saturday.
