PROTEGER L’UNVIRONNEMENT DE LA CROISILLE GRÂCE AU COMPOSTAGE.
Une réunion publique sur le compostage domestique s’est tenue ce samedi matin, à la salle des fêtes de La Croisille-sur-Briance.
Dans mon mot d’accueil j’ai rappelé que la commune avait été lauréate du trophée de l’économie circulaire l’an dernier et déjà mis en place du compostage collectif place de l’église pour celles et ceux qui n’ont pas d’espace de jardin.
Margaux LA PLAGNE la responsable du service « Compost » du Syded à animé la matinée en s’appuyant sur un diaporama : composter c’est quoi, composter ça sert à quoi, composter avec quoi, composter : comment je l’utilise.(diaporama sur demande à la mairie par mail)
Elle a expliqué à la trentaine de personnes présentes quels sont les déchets pouvant être compostés, les avantages du compost, les solutions du compost.
Le Syded, dans le cadre de sa politique de réduction des déchets, a offert en fin de réunion un bac de compostage et un seau de déchet pour la cuisine gracieusement aux participants.
Rappel : actuellement nos poubelles contiennent jusqu’à 30 % de déchets organiques. Grâce au compostage des déchets de cuisine et de jardin il est possible de valoriser 30 à 40 kg par habitant et par an de déchets organiques ce qui évite de les destiner à l’enfouissement réduisant ainsi environ 1/3 du poids de nos poubelles.
Le compost obtenu « un vrai terreau maison » est idéal pour les jardins et aussi pour l’entretien de nos espaces verts ont acquiescé les deux employés du service technique Ludo et Nicolas présent à la réunion d’information.

EDITORIAL
PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT IN LA CROISILLE THANKS TO COMPOSTING
A public meeting about domestic composting was held on Saturday morning, at the village hall in La Croisille sur Briance.
In my welcoming words, I reminded people that the commune was awarded the trophy for the circular economy last year and has already set up a collective composting system, in the square by the church, for those who do not have a garden.
Margaux, the SYDED’s person responsible for ‘Composting’, led the morning’s events with a slideshow: Composting – What is it? Why do it? What to compost with? How do I use it? (The slideshow is available on request, by email, from the Mairie).
She explained, to the thirty or so people present, which types of waste can be composted, the advantages of composting and various composting solutions.
The SYDED, as part of its project to reduce waste, was offering participants a free composter and kitchen caddy.
Reminder: our bins actually contain up to 30% organic waste. Thanks to composting waste from the kitchen and garden, it is possible to save between 30 to 40kg of organic waste, per resident, per year. This avoids it going to landfill and reduces the weight of our bins by about a third.
The compost produced, ‘genuine homemade compost’, is ideal for gardens and for maintenance of our green spaces, as confirmed by the two employees of the commune’s technical service, Ludo and Nicolas, both present at the meeting.

Fishing competition, the first at 9am, and the second at 2pm. Registration 20 €. First prize 150 €, second prize 100 €, other prizes, and a ham.
